Monster Code
[/style][style=font-size: 10px; line-height: 150%; text-align: justify; width: 390px; background-image: url(http://i.imgur.com/Ii7Oy.png); padding: 5px; color: #000000;]These codes have been passed down by every supernatural generation, and only exist to keep our existence a secret. You have been warned.
1. Don't tell a Human
- No brainer. Never, under any circumstance, tell a human of your true lineage. It's a danger to us all, not just you and your race. If one finds out, lie, blackmail, fake a dream, anything to hide us. Trusting a human too much is always a bad thing.
2. Don't Harm a Human
- Or anyone else for that matter. Harming, kidnapping, eating or otherwise hurting a human physically only sends them after us in huge hoards. Don't put us in that position.
3. Don't Let Them See You After Dark
- The longer you stay out after dark, the more your shape-shifting power fades. Horns will appear, fangs will get longer, etc. Think of an excuse, get away.
4. Stay Out of the Way
- If you get into a fight, stop, stay in the background. I don't care if your a Manotaur getting an education or an elf running a doctor's office in town. Don't draw attention to your supernatural capabilities, or those parts about your appearance that aren't exactly human.
These codes protect us. Don't do anything to break them. The consequences will be dire. In fact, you'll be hunted down by our expert trackers, an forced into a trial with each of the prominent race's leaders to determine your fate. Don't say we didn't warn you.

They MUST be able to shape shift into a more human form. This is for the site and great plotting goodness.
They can be any mythical race AS LONG AS you can justify them being in oregon. No egyptian sand monsters, unless you give us a legit reason for why they would be in Oregon.
You CAN make your character have some sort of monster-quality that doesn't shape-shift away. Like Pointed Teeth, tiny horns, ears or an eye color.
You CANNOT have their original forms be bigger than the Manotaur. No one wants to see whole trees ripped apart.
You CAN stick to those regular supernatural creatures like vampires, half-demons, werewolves.
PLEASE keep crossbreeding to a minimum, we don't need tones of were-gnomes out there, guys.
