Pacifica was spoiled as a little girl, and placed upon a golden pedestal. She was esteemed in her youth and her behavior present-day reflects how she was raised. All she knew then, was her family's money, how great she supposedly was, and little else. When she came of age, her parents became increasingly busy with their own lives, and Pacifica was left to her devices. From this she developed a sense of false maturity, and even used her inner turmoil and conflict outwards to control and manipulate others. When the Pine Twines arrived on the front of Gravity Falls, she instantly saw Mabel as a threat to her popularity... Mabel was care-free, outgoing and silly. She got along great with most of the natives, and Pacifica felt, for a split moment, inferior. It took a while for Mabel to catch on to Pacifica's hostility, but they both became "rivals" against each other though in recent years, Pacifica's feelings of disdain have mellowed out a bit. As for Dipper Pines, the blonde has developed a crush of sorts, though she'd never come forward about it... in fear of rejection and the ensuing humiliation. With all the recent construction and contract-deals appearing around Gravity Falls, Pacifica surprisingly is a bit agitated at all of the possible attention... going to the respective activity that is disturbing what was once the eerie but pristine nature of the Falls. It could also be that the Northwest Family's "fame" and "shine" has died down a bit, most likely over the years and following repetition.
