It was bad if she had a crush on him, which she did. She lied to her mother and said she was going to go into work for a few hours. Her mother was just one of those women that never got off your tail. She pulled on her black hoodie before she left the house. If her mother were smart enough to realize that she didn’t have her job uniform on she would have never been able to leave the house. Her black hair bounced as she walked at a rather fast pace to the café nova. She was going to join Colin for some coffee before he had to go back to school. She was so excited but she managed to keep a calm face. She didn’t want to seem like one of those overly desperate girls. It was finally a chance for them to get to know each other since Hazel has dropped in on them many times. She fixed her flower clip and smoothed out her skirt before she walked into the café. She let out a sigh of relief as she noticed he hasn’t arrived yet.
She asked for a booth so they could both sit comfortably and have a nice chat. She even had a book with her in case she had to wait for him for a while. She knew it was a commute to get to the café but she didn’t mind the wait. A waiter came over to take her order but she told them she was waiting for someone. She opened her book, which was called flowers in the attic. Someone recommended it to her but she didn’t remember who did. She began to read her book as she waited for Colin to come. Hazel didn’t even know she was here which she was grateful for. She loved Hazel but sometimes she would like to do things on her. She wanted to see what Colin was like when he wasn’t around his half sister. They weren’t full siblings since Hazel had dark hair and a nice tan while Colin had a bit of a peach tone and caramel blond hair.
She heard the sound of bells when the door opened to the café. She closed her book and looked up to see if it was Colin that had walked in. She grinned big as she noticed it was him that had walked in. “Did you have to run away from Hazel?” She grinned as she put her book back into her bag. [/style]

Ugh, lectures. They were just awful things. The strawberry blond sat in his seat with his chin in his palm, listening to his teacher ramble on about the class. They were just starting a new unit in music history, ergo all the talking from the teacher. The teen could feel himself begin to drift off to sleep. Before he could absolutely close his eyes and receive a peaceful rest, Colin jolted up. Fortunately he just had that little burst of energy to wake him up. Cerulean irises shifted to the corner of his eye to look at the clock. Thank God. Only five more minutes. Before class, he had texted a friend of his and asked if she'd like to join him for some coffee. Fortunately she did not refuse. It was someone Colin had became acquainted with through his half sister.
Colin had to admit, Dawn was a nice girl. Though between his sister and the work he had to do, he never really had much of a chance to really get to know her. Maybe the two could relax and enjoy a cup of coffee without any problems. While in his thoughts, the teacher ended her rambling. The bell rang, causing the teen to jump a bit. He heaved a sigh upon realizing it was just the bell. Gathering his belongings, he made his way out of the room. Checking his phone quickly, he saw he had no messages. The strawberry blond pocketed the small device, making his way out the doors and off campus. He had quite some time until his next class, which he was happy about.
The walk from the college building to the train station was not long. He had to catch a train back to Gravity Falls. It was no trouble really. In fact, he rather enjoyed it. The teen took his place on the train, pulling out his iPad as the train took off. Even when he had no work, he made work. Fingers tapped against the touch screen of the device as he began to write his latest article. Each keystroke was swift and light. Before he realized it, he was back in town. With a sigh, he saved what he had and turned the iPad off, placing it in his messenger bag.
Upon stepping onto the platform, the journalist's shoe got stuck on a wad of gum that someone spit out on the ground. His eyes shot open as he quickly tugged his foot upwards. "Disgusting!" He stepped away from the platform, hopping and attempting to use a pencil to peel the excess chewing gum off. Finally he did, disposing of it, as well as the pencil. His frown turned into a calm smile as he continued walking once more. Surely the café was not too far from there, and well, hopefully he would not step in another wad of gum.
His hunch was correct. As he continued walking, Colin saw the café just straight ahead. Glancing at his watch, he noted he was a bit late. What a shame. The teen reached the door, pushing it open. There he saw his friend and offered a smile. "Désolé. (Sorry.)" He took his seat across from her, hearing the question she had to offer. "Hazel? Well fortunately she doesn't follow me after my classes. Actually, I think as soon as I end that class, she begins one." He could not help but laugh at the statement though.
A waitress came over to take his order. "Uh, just coffee and perhaps a chocolate muffin, please." It was not long, perhaps five minutes, give or take, when she returned with his. "Merci. (Thank you.)" The waitress gave him a quizzical stare before smiling and nodding. The journalist began to pick at his muffin before looking up to his friend. He had to admit that she had certainly dressed decently even though they were just having coffee and chatting a bit. "Thanks for coming on such short notice. I figured it would be nice to sit and talk for a little bit, considering we don't really get to speak freely." The strawberry blond laughed calmly. "And you? How did you avoid her?"
