She had a strange life and she grew up in Gravity Falls. It’s one of the strangest towns in the states she believes. She has never left the town because of what happened to her father. She pulled on her uniform for work and left the house before her mother could stop her. She didn’t understand why her mother had to marry a douche like Jaymes. He wasn’t exactly the best father anyone could ask for. She still has to even consider him a father. He calls him Rothorn, which is his last name. She kept her father’s last name because that was the only thing she had left. The sun was high up in the sky and warmed her skin as she walked to the club. She did a small twirl to take in the summer sun. It was a beautiful day in Gravity Falls and it reminded her why she has never left. She just loved the homey atmosphere that it made her feel. She could never leave and move into a big city without her best friend.
She smiled at the thought of her best friend Hazel. She wasn’t someone that most people would like but she loved this girl. She wouldn’t trade her in for anything in the world. She was one of the reasons why Dawn liked work. It was just another place she could get away from her mother. It wasn’t the fact she didn’t love her mother it just the thing she married. She let out a sigh as she opened the door to the restaurant. It reminded of something that could be found in one of those rather large cities but bigger. She waved hello to the people that was already there as she went to the back to sign in. It wasn’t as crowded as she thought it would be but then again it’s a pretty expensive restaurant.
As she signed in she heard a familiar voice that brought a smile to her pale face. She turned around and grinned as she waited for them to make their way over. “Hey Hazel! I think you are forgetting something!” She held her arms out wide as she waited for her friend. [/style]

WORK WORK WORK SLEEP SCHOOL FUCKING WORK AGAIN.
Thus was the cycle of Hazel's summer life.
It was hard to believe that only a day ago she had a whole DAY off from work, because she was back in her slacks and white shirt again, bussing tables and taking orders. Asking 'Would you like to try one of our deserts tonight, sir?' Or, 'Please Miss, let me take that out of your way,' to every stupid rich customer to go through those double doors. She had already been at it for two hours, but the bossman said she could have a break within the next half hour. Great, one break in a ten hour shift. Good thing this job pays well.
Hazel worked hard, but her mind was full of obscenities to scream at the customers as her mouth spoke with a pleasant 'please and thank-you'. It was a long half hour, filled with dropped food, a fussy old lady, and one guy who was already tipsy with the alcohol. Couldn't people just behave better? She'd rather deal with the jerk from the bookstore! Oh, I should tell Dawn about that. Hazel knew she was working today, but she didn't know why.
"Mr. Edwards, I'm taking my break now!" Hazel called out as she pushed through the doors to the kitchen. Hanging her apron with her order booklet on the hooks next to the door, she went to the bathroom to wash up. No reason in being dirty. Afte a quick lather and rinse of her hands from bussing tables, Hazel sighed and dried them. There was nothing quite like that 'clean' feeling. Exiting the less than nice employee bathroom, Hazel grinned. Dawn was signing in.
"It's about time you showed up! I'm not bustin' my hump out there so you can take it easy!" Hearing that, people wouldn't believe they were friends... best friends even. But, if you looked at Hazel, you could see the wide grin on her face. It was always nicer when you could complain with a friend. Dawn's arms opened, and Hazel took no time practically leaping into them, as was their custom in greeting. Sure, it was quirky and weird, but they were both quirky and weird, so it was okay to them.
After a couple solid seconds rocking back and forth with Dawn like they were long lost siblings, Hazel pulled back, elbow cupping her best friend. "The customers are just like you love them. Rude and full of great ideas.
