He'll stop letting me go to college! History/Other Hazel is the child of Charles Pedlowe, Real Estate Agency Owner and land proprietor extraordinair, her mother was a painter. An unlikely duo, and it showed. Hazel's young childhood was plagued with fights happening behind closed doors, paintings being destroyed, her father leaving for days on end. Yet they never divorced throughout her childhood, operating under the misconception that parents together that hated each other raised children better than happier parents divorced. Hazel's dad was a good looking man, and all of his other girlfriends seemed to think so too. She had two half sisters from his other girlfriends, met them all of once, and didn't think much of it. After all, her parents had come to their senses when Hazel was around the age of 13. Her mother, Jean had moved out, taking her studio and her only daughter with her. Things got along swimmingly after that. Hazel attending public school, became student body president, and visited her father's home near a small town three or four times. He was working on some huge project which required him to stay on site at an apartment. His other daughters, and now her one brother (who was actually older than Hazel, and had been found a couple months ago) visited in shifts. When Hazel's mother became involved in a car accident driving up there to get Hazel from her dad's though, things got hard again. Hazel started her usual routine of shutting herself inside, trying to only care for her mother. He father helped any way he could, because he wasn't a bad person, just a bad father. Apparently her mother had been wanting to tell Hazel that she had been caught up in a classical painting scam. (Jean was pretty gullible.) Now, Hazel had no home and no mother. Now she lives with her father permanently, her father renting a house out to accommodate her and her siblings when they visit. Recently her brother started living with them. Hazel and her brother both take the train to the university, trying to live outside of their father's shadows while her slightly younger sisters battle high school and frequent visits. The family is still trying to piece itself back together after the loss of Hazel's mother, and things are far from being normal.
